Inverpolly evening light
The scene is quite beautiful and the water tranquil with perfect reflections as the last rays of light glance over the tree tops with Canisp and Suilven mountains glowing in the golden sunlight. What you don’t appreciate is that I had been at the other side of the loch for about two hours being eaten alive by midges despite wearing a midge net over my head – they get everywhere! As the sun started to disappear and I lost light where I was, I sprinted over a boggy hillside just in time to catch the light. I set up my tripod at the water’s edge with seconds to spare. Do you think the rock in the foreground looks like a big lobster?
